Top Gov’t officials, a Nairobi MCA, after Kiosk owner who sold Ugali Matumbo at KSh 1000 to Foreign.

The Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai says that a kiosk owner in Kibra should have charged French YouTuber Kino Yves Sh20,000 for ugali and matumbo.

Alai, who is the Kieleleswa MCA, in a statement noted that “The YouTuber scammed the kiosk owner for eyeballs. I support the kiosk owner for charging for premium services. Did he seek consent to record him and his state of affairs?

“He should have been charged Ksh 20,000 or more for the meal because he was recording for profit and not to satisfy his hunger,”

“Please share with me the contacts of the kiosk owner. He is being crucified for charging a small fee for what someone was going to gain much more out of.”

Overpriced Food, The MCA Reacted On.

A video of Kenyan food vendors extorting a foreign client by charging an extremely high price for a simple slum meal went viral online and caused a huge conversation on the root of corruption in Kenya and the endemic culture of fraudulence prevalent in the Kenyan psyche.

In the viral video footage, French YouTuber Yves Kino is charged a steep price for an ugali matumbo dish at the Kibera slums and has to spend a drearily long time trying to reason with the food seller who is, obviously, ripping him off.
