The Nandi Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has defied the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s directive on the cost of living.
The second in command had warned that government officials shouldn’t talk down on Kenya over the rising cost of living.
According to Gachagua, top government officials should be sensitive on the plight of Kenyans who are already struggling to make the end meet.
In what seems like going against Gachagua’s claims, the Nandi Senator has commented on the rising cost of living saying that tax will continue rising due to the national debt threat.
“When all is said and done, the last fat piece of loaf should go out to the lady or gentleman who will crack the puzzle.
“How to pay for the annual SGR bill in March, EuroBond 2 in June & honour the usual debt demand without any tax raising measures. DEBT is a national threat.” Said Cheruiyot in a tweet.
