Wahome clarifies her involvement on Karen Home involving a CS

Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Labour and Social Protection Florence Bore and Gatanga Member of Parliament (MP) Edward Muriu are said to be embroiled in a heated dispute over what is described by blogger Cyprian Nyakundi as  an extravagant mansion nestled within the prestigious Amara Ridge by Cytonn, an exclusive gated community in the serene Karen neighborhood.

The clash reportedly unfolded when MP Muriu, who had recently purchased the luxurious house, alleged that the CS Bore, had forcefully occupied the property, valued at a whooping Ksh120 million.

Speaking to a local TV station, the MP’s wife expressed her astonishment upon discovering a heavy security presence at their Karen residence.

The incident occurred when they had sent a contractor to carry out cleaning duties at the mansion.

Shockingly, the contractor was allegedly manhandled and denied access to the premises, which the unnamed Cabinet Secretary had already taken over.

The MP’s wife says, there was no formal agreement or transaction regarding the property.

This house still belongs to me and my husband. We are just as surprised as you are that it is currently occupied!” she firmly asserted when speaking to media on Friday.

Reports gathered suggest that the CS had initially approached the MP with an offer of Ksh90 million for the house.

However, the homeowner rejected the proposal, insisting on the property’s true value of Ksh120 million.

“The CS showed interest in the house. She even visited our home and made an offer of Ksh90 million. We informed her that the house’s price is Ksh120 million. Subsequently, I traveled to the United States for my daughter’s graduation. When I returned on Wednesday, June 14, I instructed my staff to clean the house. To my shock, it was already occupied,” the MP’s wife recounted.

The MP lodged a formal complaint with the police and is considering legal action against the Cabinet Secretary for trespassing and damages following the standoff.

The aggrieved homeowner informed journalists that the CS was out of the country at the time of the incident.

As of now, the embattled Cabinet Secretary has yet to release a statement addressing the allegations leveled against her.

Amara Ridge by Cytonn, the upscale development at the heart of this dispute, is known for housing various Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries.

Among its notable residents is (CS) Simon Kiprono Chelugui of Cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development.

However, CS Wahome has come out to clear her name in the saga.

“That story of a house in Karen involving a CS , leave me out. I m not the one. Sorry Kenyans on Twitter . You missed this one.” Said Wahome.

“Look for someone else. I m not the one . I m not looking for a house to live in.” She added.
