The Interior Cabinet Secretary has called on clergymen to help the Gov’t get rid of rogue preachers.
The CS said this at a church service on Sunday 21st May 2023 at the House of Testimonies, Victory Revival Church in Nturiri, Maara Constituency, Tharaka Nithi County
“The Church and other religious organisations have a responsibility to support the Government in its effort to get rid of rogue preachers using scriptures to radicalise and indoctrinate their followers.” Said Kindiki.
Kindiki affirmed that the fight against rogue pastors will go on despite resistance.
“This crackdown will go on despite resistance from some religious leaders.” He said.
He further apologiesed on behalf of the Gov’t over Shakahola massacre.
The CS disclosed that all officers who aided Mackenzi in his killing.
“The Government apologises to all Kenyans for the Shakahola forest massacre.”
“There will be accountability for every officer who, by acts of commission or omission, aided Makenzi in committing atrocities against innocent people.”
