The price of Unga has gone down according to the report by the State house Spokesperson Hussein Muhamed .
In a statement via twitter, Hussein revealed that that price has gone down from sh230 when Ruto took office to between sh160 & sh 159 depending with the millers.
“Unga prices have started going down just as President @WilliamsRuto had assured Kenyans over the weekend. Prices have dropped to Ksh159 and Ksh 160, depending on the millers. When the President assumed office last year, a 2kg packet was retailing at approximately Ksh230.” A statement by Hussein Muhamed reads.
This comes as Azimio La Umoja team continue to put pressure on Gov’t to lower the cost of living.
ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna and Martha Karua have said that they won’t stop demonstration untill price Unga is below sh100.
