The Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa has named the members who will represent the Kenya Kwanza Government talk with the Azimio team.
Among them are the Kagamega Senator Boni Khalwale, MP George Murugara, Nominated Senator Essy Okenyuri, MP Mwengi Mutuse, Woman Rep. Lydia Haika, Senator Hillary Sigei and MP Adan Keynan.
Speaking at a media brief Tuesday 11th April, Ichungwah noted that as a PG, they reaffirm their commitment to the rule of law and constitutionalism.
“We appreciate the role of the opposition in oversight and criticizing the government.” Said Ichungwah.
The Senator of Kericho Aaron Cheruiyot, who spoke at the press detailed that as a PG, they resist the attempts by the opposition to force or blackmail the gov’t to implement failed policies of the last regime that drove the country into an economic mess.
“We are not refusing to take advice but we find it difficult to take advice from the very people that put us in the mess we are in today. We have directed our nominated team to adhere strictly to the Constitution.” Said Cheruiyot.
