Raila Odinga declares protests every Monday of the week as youth chase police to clear way.
Raila Odinga, leader of Kenya’s Azimio La Umoja One coalition, announced that there would be protests every Monday to ensure that President William Ruto heeds his demands.
Odinga made the announcement while on top of his motorcade addressing supporters in Eastleigh, Nairobi as the public action takek shape.
“Every Monday there will be protests; the fight has started and won’t end until Kenyans get their rights,” Odinga said amidst chear from the crowd.
The opposition Chief, Odinga, made a stop at Easleigh after being blocked by security forces from entering the CBD to meet his supporters, who launched the protests in
the morning.
On Gong road, Azimio youth chased away police officers who attempted to block, tear gas Raila’s convoy. “Vijana wanafanya clearance huko mbele,” an enthusiastic protestor was overheard saying.
