The Nairobi County commandant, Adamson Bungei, has declared tomorrow’s maandamanos illegal.
In a press release, he says, the protest will not be allowed as it does not meet the threshold.
He has confirmed they have received requests from two groups(Azimio & Nairobi Business Community) intending to hold protests on the same day and decided to grant none the permit to protest.
This is a huge blow to Raila Odinga who had rallied his supporters to protest on Monday 20th against Kenya Kwanza Gov’t over the rising cost of living.
Odinga had earlier, illegally declared Monday 20th declared Monday a public holiday.
