EDUCATION: CS Machogu Opens up on Financing University
The Cabinet Secretary for Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has today toured several exhibition stands show casing various innovations developed by DeKUT students and staff.
Machogu, snatched the orportunity to appreciated the institution for encouraging students to engage in useful and marketable research.
The CS further hails Dedan Kimathi University of Technology for producing cutting edge research which, he says, has transformed the area by creating opportunities.
The CS was speaking during celebrations to mark the institutions tenth anniversary.
In his speech CS was keen to note that the university sub sector is facing significant challenges as a result of operating on a cash scarce environment and poor management.
He urged the Universities Management to explore innovative financing models through public private partnerships.
