The Orange Democratic Movement ODM Secretary General Hon. Edwin Sifuna has urged police to disobey illegal orders from the Interior CS Kithure Kindiki.
In a statement, the SG, who doubles up as the Nairobi Senator says Kindiki’s casually ordering police to shoot to protesters is akin to cowardice.
He asked if CS Kindiki himself could shoot someone.
“CS Interior casually ordering police officers to shoot protesters is pure cowardice. Does Kindiki strike you as someone who has ever shot anyone?”
“Dear Police Officer, you have a duty to disobey illegal orders like that. Give Kindiki his guns and let him shoot us himself.” He said.
The Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, in a rejoinder, accused police of suspending the constitution.
“They have suspended the constitution… Dear Kenyans if a police officer shoots you and by luck you survive Kule yeye na Meno!”
