A man, identified as Jose Kamanja, has thanked Kenyans on Twitter KOT, after helping him get justice on his leg that was cut.
The had earlier asked Kenyans to retweet his statement detailing how he was hit by a lorry insured by Amasc insurance but the company refused to award him even after winning a court case.
“Kindly Retweet, It was in 2014 when I was hit by a lorry insured with Amaco Insurance. I was in class 8 by then and I was going to school in the morning. I spent an year in the hospital. Nikarudia 2015 and after some recovering my family set up a case.
“We won it in 2018 because mwenye lori ndiye alikuwa na makosa. The ruling stated that Amaco Should pay us the said amount. Some for the court, some for the lawyer and some for us. But since 2018 nothing has been paid up to now. Nilisoma na mashida mguu ikinisumbua mpaka ikabidi ikatwe in 2021 December.”
Added: “Amaco wameishi kunizungusha and even threatening me . So I just want justice on this . Coz me ni kama nimefika mwisho.”
Jose detailed that he had tried everything with his lawyer without success.
“Hey guys, we’ve tried everything with my lawyer. The vehicle owner sold his car. Nimeenda mpaka Amaco head offices several time but ni kuzungushwa tu. If you see me posting here it is because I know how corrupt @Amaco_Ltd is, it needs to be exposed.” He noted.
However, it is a reprieve to the young man after the company reciprocated by starting to pay 200k in installments. Jose has promised to update KOT after the amount is paid in full.
“To everyone who retweet my post I say thank you. May your heart desires, dreams and visions come true. They reached out to my lawyer and payment of 200k monthly installments have started today. Thank You #KOT #JusticeForKamanja.” He said.
