Jesus of Tongaren, appears in Bungoma law Court over Sect.
New Jerusalem sect leader Eliud Wekesa, known as Yesu wa Tongaren, appeared in court in Bungoma after police demanded more time to question him.
Wakesa presented himself to police on Wednesday after being called in for questioning about his religious teachings and activities.
Accompanied by supporters, Wekesa said that he should not be detained since he has nothing to hide.
However, the police insisted on detaining him for further questioning to as the forge for further action.
The controversial preacher said, on Monday morning that all he does is preach the true gospel.
