Naivasha Man, 29, in custody after burning son.

Police in Naivasha were on Saturday 23rd April 2023, arrested a man only identified as Wepo in connection with assault to a child.

According to police reports, the matter was brought to light by a 27 year old woman named Chitayi.

The heartless man is said to be the son’s step father who was left with son 5 year ago.

“It was reported by one woman Chitayi, 27 that she left her 5 years old son with her husband (the suspect) named Wepo, 29, who is also the stepfather to the victim.” A police station seen by K47 news reads.

Police details that upon the woman’s return from work, after 5 years, she found her son seriously assaulted.

It was gathered that preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect beat the boy, and burnt him on the buttocks using a hot sufuria (cooking pot). He also pressed his genital organs severely occasioning him deep wounds.

The child is said to be admitted at Naivasha Sub-County Referral Hospital.

The accused is cooling his feets, this weekend Inthe police custody while waiting his arraignement in court on Monday.
